Ceramic Bezel and Luminous Display

The Rolex Deepsea watch features a unidirectional rotating bezel with a 60-minute scale, allowing divers to accurately and safely monitor dive and decompression times. It features Rolex’s patented black Cerachrom insert, made from virtually scratch-resistant ceramic that resists fading even under UV light. The indexes are PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coated with a thin layer of platinum. The smooth black dial features large Chromalight hour markers and hands, filled with luminescent material that emits a long-lasting blue glow for exceptional legibility even in the dark.

Oystersteel

Rolex uses Oystersteel for its stainless steel cases. Oystersteel, a specially developed alloy from the 904L steel family, is most commonly used in high-tech, aerospace, and chemical industries, where extreme corrosion resistance is crucial.
